David Holley gained his  Ceramics Degree from Central School of Art and Design, London in the 1970's. Having had a career teaching art and now in retirement he has come back to making ceramics. 

 His Deity Jars are inspired by African fetish statues, believed to hold magical powers and provide protection against evil spirits.

Each jar is individually hand-thrown, modelled, and decorated, ensuring its uniqueness. Through these stoneware creations, David combines his artistic expertise with cultural inspiration, crafting pieces that are both evocative and distinctive.

This stoneware Deity Jar is inspired by fetish statues from Gabon, Africa, thought to possess magical powers. It is individually hand thrown and modelled making each jar unique.
