I am an expressive artist with an interest in colour and mark making. I am influenced by artists such as Lesley Birch, Jill Eiselle, Frank Auberbach and the German expressionists. I have been taught and mentored by painters such as Lewis Noble, Paul Wadsworth and Ria Poole. My main subject matter includes the landscape painting, (especially the landscapes of Devon and Cornwall) and portraits of historically significant women. For example I have this year began a collaboration with the House of Sharing in Seoul, South Korea painting portraits of survivors of war time sexual abuse.
In 2017 I had my first Art council funded solo show at PZ gallery in Cornwall, and have exhibited my work in both Bristol and Bath. I have also held professional residencies at Hawkwood College and Brison Veor. I am an associate member of Penwith art gallery and a member of Totnes art society. Most recently I have also been offered a place on the Masters in Art and Politics at Goldsmiths to develop my next project which I am excited to begin in September
