Ā Nessie Partridge
Ā Nessie Partridge (Artyness) studied ceramics in Cardiff (specialising on the potter's wheel) gaining a BA (Hons) in Art Education Studies.
She has taught Therapeutic Music and Art in many settings, understanding how creativity can be a valuable outlet.
Nessieās love for the coast began whilst repairing wooden boats and making pieces of art from disregarded material.
After revisiting the pottersā wheels at 50 and getting back up to speed at The Clay Loft, Nailsworth, she started to produce a collection of hand-thrown mugs stamped with āAll the Ness thingsā; āKindnessā, āLovelinessā, āFabulousnessāā¦
āNauticalnessā is the name for her boat pieces; the first one having been made over Covid-19 which turned out to be a highly therapeutic process of mixing different mediums together. This was exhibited in Kings Hill House, Bristol in 2022.
Since moving to Devon, her exploration of textures has developed and is moving towards a more fine-art approach.
