English Riviera Summer Open
We’re pleased to invite submissions for this year’s English Riviera Summer Open, our annual celebration of contemporary visual arts at Artizan Collective Gallery. Running from 29th June - 24th August 2025, this exhibition transforms our Fleet Walk venue into a vibrant patchwork of colour, creativity and community.
If you’ve exhibited with us before, you’ll know that the Summer Open is a cornerstone of our year - one of our biggest, boldest showcases that brings together a rich blend of artists working across all mediums and styles. And if you’re new to our calls, welcome! This is your chance to be part of one of the South West’s most diverse and accessible open exhibitions.
The Summer Open is:
Selective but welcoming - open to all, with selection based on originality, quality, and breadth.
Boldly curated - we look for dynamic combinations of traditional and contemporary work.
Audience-loved - drawing visitors, collectors, and art lovers from across the region.
This year’s submission fees are:
£10 for a single work submission
£35 for multi-work submissions (submit up to six works; max four selected)
New for 2025: Get involved before the show opens!
We’re holding a Volunteer Day for anyone who’s ever said, “Just let me know if you need a hand.” On 23rd June, we’ll be inviting anyone who’s free to come down, pick up a roller, and help us give the space a fresh coat of paint. It’s a great excuse to get stuck in behind the scenes, meet fellow artists, and be part of the creative buzz from the ground up.
If you’ve discovered us recently - perhaps through our work at Delamore or further afield - this is a great opportunity to continue your journey with us and experience the full spirit of our high street gallery programme in Torquay.

Submission Forms:
We offer a number of options for submitting to the exhibition which hopefully will meet the needs of most artists but if you need assistance with any of the below methods, you can get in touch with us and we'll be happy to help.
Google Form (preferred): Completing our Google Form is the preferred method for submitting to our opportunities. You do not need a Google Account to fill in the form, but if you have one the form will save your progress as you go. You can fill in the form below using the embed further down this page, or alternatively click here to load it in a new window. Please note, your images are provided separately via email to imagesubmissions@artizangallery.co.uk
Curatorspace: This is a really great platform that we've been publishing our opportunities on for 5 years now. Artists can create a free or paid account that allows them to submit not just to our exhibitions but to hundreds of other opportunities. You can head to the submission form here and see details of their membership options here.
Email: If none of the above options work for you, we can also accept work details by email. To submit form details by email, download a PDF form here and use this as a reference for the information we need. Provide all details in the body of an email and send this to juliebrandon@artizangallery.co.uk with your images.
