Plein Air at Delamore is a brand-new way to experience Devon’s best loved annual arts event, and we are inviting visitors to watch creativity unfold in this stunning Dartmoor setting.

Plein Air at Delamore is a three-day arts event that will open the 2026 exhibitions. With new opportunities to experience creativity at Delamore, day 1 kicks off the weekend by offering the chance to discover professional artists at work and experience creative practice firsthand.

More About the Day

Professional artists working in different media will be set up in the grounds for the day, capturing scenes of the gardens, house, and sculpture trail. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover the artists as they explore the event.

As well as highlighting Delamore’s stunning natural aspect, the day celebrates the event as a space for discovering art and creativity. The artists will be demoing throughout the day, with the chance to ask them questions about their work and practice. We also hope this opening day gives visitors a taste of the wider plein air weekend, enticing you to return with family for the Have-A-Go Day on May 3rd, or for the spectacle of the open competition on May 4th.
