About the event
Join Kathy Wray for an inspiring workshop that combines nature, creativity, and mindfulness. Through guided meditations and exploratory art-making exercises, participants will explore how to use natural materials—like freshly cut flowers, stones, and feathers—as sources of inspiration. You’ll experiment with textures, colours, and forms while creating dynamic and expressive compositions.
This workshop focuses on freeing your creative energy through mark-making, representational drawing, and bold, imaginative approaches. With Kathy’s guidance, participants will explore their personal connections to the natural world and develop their ideas into finished works using a variety of media.
Event Schedule
10:45–11:30: Introduction with mindfulness movement exercise and guided meditation.
11:30–12:30: Creative exploration with non-objective mark-making using media such as ink, wax, paint, and charcoal.
