Exhibitions

I am an artist completing a PhD in Art & Media, at the University of Plymouth. My artistic work is deeply influenced by diverse aquatic environments in the southwest region and beyond. I have undertaken artist residencies in the UK, Europe, South Africa and the Arctic. I have been invited to participate in an upcoming art and science residency in Finland (https://imagininggodzilla.fi/) scheduled from August 7th to 14th. My work has been exhibited locally, nationally and internationally.
My artistic practice encompasses a wide array of techniques, expanded notions of photography, experimental artists' moving image, optical devices, microscopic imaging, light, projection, sound, text, and water, and is informed by scientific data and research. By exploring spaces both above and below the horizon, I endeavour to uncover concealed dimensions within our observable world. This opportunity forms the basis for generating new site-responsive work with a particular emphasis on the threshold tidal zones along the UNESCO Global Geopark coastline, encompassing the sea, caves, and seagrass meadows. I am interested in forging collaborations with key associate partners to identify and access pivotal sites for my project, such as the underwater Marine Local Nature Reserve at Saltern Cove.
