I am a visual artist whose primary medium is ceramics, though I occasionally explore mixed media to expand the expressive potential of my work. My practice is deeply inspired by marine ecosystems, particularly the intricate forms and textures of corals and the delicate yet resilient life found beneath the sea. Through hand-built and wheel-thrown forms, I aim to capture the organic rhythms of underwater landscapes, reflecting both their beauty and fragility. Glazes and surface treatments are chosen to evoke the iridescence, erosion, and flow of the ocean, often combining matte and glossy finishes to mimic the interplay of water and light. Occasionally, I integrate other materials—such as glass, resin, or found natural elements—to create mixed-media sculptures that immerse the viewer in a tactile and visual experience of marine life. At the core of my practice lies a desire to celebrate the biodiversity of the oceans while prompting reflection on the urgent need to protect these delicate habitats. My work exists at the intersection of art and nature, inviting a closer look at the microcosms hidden beneath the waves, and translating their rhythms into enduring ceramic forms.

Peninsula: The South-West Open 2026
For over a decade, our annual Summer Open has been a cornerstone of the Artizan calendar, bringing an incredible array of artistic talent to the English Riviera. This year, we are shifting our focus to explore a specific narrative dedicated to the unique spirit of our region. Peninsula: The South-West Open 2026 brings together national and local artists responding directly to the physical, cultural, and historic characteristics of the South-West. Grounded in the dramatic landscapes, tactile materials, and the legendary quality of light that defines the peninsula Join us this summer to experience a visual journey through the South-West, celebrating the landscapes and light that inspire us. The exhibition will launch on 25th July 6 – 8 pm and run from 26th July – 4th September Wednesday – Sunday 10 am – 4 pm or by appointment.
