Flora Fabris

Embracing the Beauty of Imperfection

Flora Fabris, trained as a civil engineer, has explored various art forms before discovering clay as the medium that perfectly balances functionality and creativity. Her work reflects a preference for organic shapes and natural colours, crafted primarily on the potter’s wheel using stoneware clays and fired in an electric kiln. She often incorporates wood ashes and wild clays to add unique character to her pieces.

Deeply influenced by the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, Flora embraces the beauty of imperfection, transience, and acceptance in her practice. This ethos informs her creations, which celebrate the subtle and the imperfect, offering a harmonious blend of form and philosophy.
