Laura Henning, originally from Shropshire, studied A-Level Art (A) and Textiles (IIi) at The University of Leeds before working in London in the fashion industry, attending short drawing courses at Saint Martins' College in her spare time.
When she moved to Devon, with her husband and two small children, she had the opportunity to embrace her love of portrait painting and started to exhibit in 2015.
Laura is now best known for her large, bright and colourful portraits. She is passionate about capturing the character of a person, in a vibrant, playful yet powerful way.
New artists continuously inspire her, such as Noemi Safir-Dolev.
