Klaus produces interactive pieces which we are delighted to receive regularly at our open shows.
Klaus Pinter is perhaps best known for his massive floating installations, giant suspensions which are at once industrial and natural, light and dense. Created with inflatable materials such as plastic and nylon, he is able to produce pieces on a huge scale, minifying the spaces they occupy, which have included the Pantheon in Rome and the Seine in Paris. Further architectural works in a similar style were undertaken with the Haus-Rucker-Co, a Viennese Group founded with Pinter and two fellow artists. The groups most famous works were the Mind Expander series, worn pieces resembling helmets which altered the perceptions of the wearer, engaging with the Situationist ideals of play as a means to engage.
