Geopark Residency: In Conversation
An evening talk with our Geopark Residency Artists and project partners.
Join us for an evening in conversation with the artists and facilitators behind the Geopark Artist Residency Programme, a unique project exploring the connections between art, science, and place.
Hosted during the English Riviera Geopark Festival at Artizan Collective Gallery, this event brings together the full cohort of artists — James Murch, Laura Segan, Gill Melling, and Rachael Allain — alongside project partners from Artizan Collective CIC and Torre Abbey. Together, they’ll share insights into the residency experience, the creative processes it inspired, and the extraordinary natural and cultural heritage that shaped the work.
Discover how themes such as marine biodiversity, geological change, human impact, and the invisible thresholds of land and sea have been interpreted through painting, textiles, film, sculpture, and installation. Learn more about the Geopark’s global significance, and the role of artists in revealing, interpreting, and celebrating its stories.
The evening will include informal discussion in the exhibition setting and time for audience Q&A.
We are very grateful to those who feel able to make a ticket donation of any value when booking their place.
