The Torbay Art Show 2018

An Art Fair for Torbay

Artizan Gallery is pleased to be supporting the Torbay Art Show 2018, a new Art Fair being brought to Torbay by Torquay Boys' Grammar School.

The Parents Association of Torquay Boys' Grammar School is proud to introduce the Torbay Art Show, a fantastic new fundraising event to be held at the school. This exciting show aims to raise substantial funds towards the refurbishment of the Sixth Form Centre. The Centre, a hub for the sixth form students, offers a unique area where study and socialising work alongside each other. The investment will see the Centre taking on a brighter, more spacious appearance with computer and study rooms for unsupervised learning and a new cafe style area where students can hang out and relax. The new Centre will lend itself to the wider Torbay Community as a venue for meetings, clubs and other activities.

Over the weekend of the 13th and 14th October 2018, the Cavanna Centenary Hall will be transformed into a modern space where professional artists, from across the UK, will be exhibiting and selling their artworks. There will be a range of art mediums for sale including paintings, ceramics, sculptures and much more.

In addition to the Show, the talented GCSE and IB students of Torquay Boys' Grammar School will exhibit an inspiring display of their works, offering an insight into the high standards of art achieved within the Art Department. Art is an essential component in the school curriculum, encouraging students to use their imagination, be creative and analyse different elements of the subject, resulting in outstanding pieces of work.

We would like to extend our thanks to all the sponsors who have embraced our idea and supported us with their generous investments.

There will also be a pop-up shop selling smaller creative craft items, as well as a cafe with homemade cakes and refreshments. We trust that the wide variety of artworks, together with the smaller items in the shop, will ensure that there will be something to suit everyone's taste, space and spend.

We hope that the event will inspire visitors and student alike, as well as being an enjoyable day out.

We look forward to seeing you.
